Mexican Drug Traffic and Cults
I read a pretty crazy and equally interesting story last week in my National Geographic. Apparently, the drug violence in Mexico has caused enough desperation among drug traffickers and civilians alike, that many people have begun praying to unholy saints for protection, instead of the traditional saints recognized by the Catholic Church. The emergence of these new cults is pretty bizarre, to say the least. Check it out for yourself, if you’re in the mood for something weird.

Though not entirely related, this NY Times article sheds some pretty interesting light on the current policy debacle that is Arizona politics.
