Thin Line Between Stupid and Clever

Opining on Whatever

But I Already Bought a Ticket?!

You’ve probably heard that Spirit Airlines has announced plans to begin charging $45 (only $30 if paid online, yay!) for carry on bags on its flights beginning August 1st.   Look, a fee for a carry-on is a fee for flying.  How many flights do you take where you don’t need to bring anything? Not many.  It’s bad enough that I have to pay for extra legroom, or to check a bag, or to use the bathroom, but now I can’t bring anything onto the plane unless it will fit in my pockets or within the 10 inches of legroom I am given?!  Thankfully, five other airlines (American, Delta, JetBlue, United, US Airways) have stated they will not be copying this “strategy.”

I had never heard of Spirit Airlines before this, and definitely would never consider flying with them now.  Except for this guy, everyone else feels the same way, right?
